On a fateful day, he tragically passed away at the age of 49 in Myrtle Beach, SC, following a fall. Andrew’s legacy is one that’s marked by his deep passions, compassionate nature, and the profound impact he had on the lives of those around him. Originally from Montoursville and previously from Duncansville, Andrew Tatusko leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond his years. He is survived by his beloved children, Alexander Michael and Evan Paul, both of Duncansville. His partner, Tammy Subarton, and her son Sam, will also carry his memory forward.
Andrew’s sisters, Lisa Tatusko of Spencer, NY, Amy Lecates of Pottsville, MD, and Susan (Mark) McNulty of Mount Airy, MD, as well as his former wife and friend, Brenna Hartzell Tatusko of Duncansville, share in this loss. Andrew’s life was a tapestry woven with diverse passions. An enthusiastic runner, he challenged himself with 5 marathons, 2 ultra marathons (50 miles each), a 31-mile race, and numerous trail runs and half marathons. His love for music found expression through drumming, as he played with various groups, including his high school and college marching bands.
Beyond his personal pursuits, Andrew’s heart was deeply connected to the well-being of animals. He dedicated his time to multiple pet rescue organizations, embodying a compassionate spirit that extended to all creatures. Andrew Michael Tatusko will be remembered for his quick wit, profound intellect, and his role as an exceptional father. His ability to infuse humor into any situation, coupled with his innate intelligence, left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. As a father, his love and dedication shone brightly, leaving an enduring mark on his children’s lives.
