Edith Ann Duthie Obituary, Death – After a brief struggle with illness, Edith Ann Duthie, who had been a resident of Wellpark Gardens in Kintore, passed away on Thursday, August 24th, 2023. Her illness had been very mild. We must break the news of her passing with a heavy heart; she had been a part of our community for the past 24 years. Edith was a pillar of strength and was always eager to lend a helping hand to whoever was in need of assistance. Everyone who knew and cared about her will experience a great sense of loss upon her passing.

In addition to being a devoted mother to Ian and Carol Anne, Edith was also a doting grandmother to Megan, Gavin, and Edward. All of her grandchildren adored her. The simple presence of her in their life brought them joy, consolation, and an endless source of affection they could never have imagined having otherwise. In memory of Edith, a funeral service will be held on Monday, September 11 at 10.30 in the morning at the Eric P Massie Funeral Directors Chapel, which is located at 76a High Street, Inverurie. We would want to take advantage of this opportunity to extend a cordial invitation to all of Edith’s family members and friends, asking them to join us in paying tribute to Edith’s life and bidding her adieu. Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the deceased will be laid to rest in a private ceremony. Donations in support of CLAN, a cause that was near and dear to Edith’s heart,

may be donated in place of flowers at the entrance to the chapel. The family has graciously requested that this be done as a gesture of kindness in lieu of flowers. In this time of mourning, let us come together to remember Edith, to console her family, and to take solace in the shared memories we have of her so that we may move forward with our lives with more strength.
