His life was a testament to strength, resilience, and unwavering faith, despite facing the challenges of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy from a very young age. His journey was defined by courage, determination, and an indomitable spirit.

Diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy before the age of 4, Chris never allowed his condition to define who he was. He faced each obstacle with grace, never once complaining, and never succumbing to self-pity. His life was a living example of the biblical verse, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Christopher is survived by his parents, Steve and Becky Rushing, who undoubtedly provided unwavering love and support throughout his life. His grandparents, Hollis and Helen Rushing, and Anita Thompson were an essential part of his journey. He is also survived by his uncles, Jeff (Renee), Brett (Lisa), Barry (Marta), Jimmy (Penny), Tommy, and Toby, and his aunt, Tanya, along with numerous cousins.

While mourning Christopher’s passing, it’s important to remember that he now finds peace and relief from his earthly struggles. He joins his grandfathers, Bondy Moulder and Frank Thompson, and great-grandparents, Alton and Alice Achord, Webb and Mattie Moulder, Hollis D. and Gladys Rushing, and Harold and Luella Geho, along with an uncle and cousins who preceded him in death.

Christopher’s life serves as an inspiration to all who knew him, reminding us of the power of perseverance, love, and faith in the face of adversity. His memory will forever be cherished by his family and loved ones, a tribute to the incredible young man he was.
