We are deeply saddened to share the news of the loss of Professor Clifford Wright of Xavier University of Louisiana. The loss of Professor Wright is deeply felt and will be difficult to fill. His tireless advocacy for social justice and equity on campus and beyond has had far-reaching effects that will be seen for years to come. Professor Wright’s commitment was not limited to the classroom. He was beloved by his wife and children and by his numerous friends and acquaintances. Everyone who had the good fortune to know him was profoundly impacted by his intelligence, compassion, and openness. The kindness, understanding, and love he left behind will never be forgotten.
