Dave’s legacy is one deeply rooted in judo and camaraderie. In his younger days, he was a formidable judoka, achieving remarkable success at national championships held at Crystal Palace. His dedication and skill were recognized when he represented and captained the Midland squad, and he was a Lincolnshire champion on numerous occasions. His judo journey also took him across borders, as he proudly represented our club in Laval, France, contributing to the Boston/Laval twinning.

Beyond his accomplishments on the mat, Dave’s true impact came in the form of mentorship and coaching. After retiring from competition, he channeled his knowledge and passion into helping club members achieve black belts.
