Joan Cynthia Obituar, Death – On August 27, 2023, Joan Cynthia Wiik (Schmitz), age 83, of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, died away in a calm and serene manner surrounded by her family. Joan was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother in addition to being a devoted member of the Catholic faith. She obtained her license to practice cosmetology, graduated from OLP High School, and was the owner of Joan’s Beauty Salon in St. Paul. Joan, together with her sisters MaryAnn and Jane,

They went on to perform on a national platform, which included the Arthur Godfrey Show, Guy Lombardo at the Desert Inn, and playing with Al Hirt at the Palmer House in Chicago, amongst other notable appearances.
Joan was also a member of the choir of the St. Louis King of France Church in St. Paul for a significant amount of time. Not only did she enjoy singing, but she also enjoyed tending to her garden and spending time with her family. Joan was widely loved by many people, and she will be missed very, very much.
