He and his wife Zvezda were deeply and steadfastly in love, and the two of them raised a loving, close-knit family. Lidija and Sime, Silvana, Menka, and Steve all had a loving father in Tode.

He loved playing the role of Dedo (grandfather), spoiling Justin, Amaliya, Nicholas, Kayla, Jayda, Priscilla, Giuseppe, Jasmine, and Cruz while imparting his knowledge. Tode had a contagious smile and a kind heart that shone throughout his life. His presence had the amazing capacity to illuminate any space, and his laughter was a melody that made everyone who heard it smile. On Friday, September 1, 2023, at 6:30 pm, a prayer ceremony will be place at Rankins Funeral Home, 270 Cowper Street, Warrawong, to commemorate and remember Tode.
