Eileen Herrle Obituary, Eileen Herrle Has Reportedly Passed away

Eileen Herrle Obituary, Death – A life adorned with unwavering devotion to her family came to a peaceful close on August 26, 2023, as Eileen Patrice Herrle (nee Murray), a cherished resident of Wallingford for many years, passed away serenely in her abode at The Landing of North Haven. Born on April 16, 1932, to Charles and Helen (Gerber) Murray, Eileen’s journey of 91 years was a testament to her unwavering resolve and graceful demeanor. Her love for her husband of nearly seven decades, Jack Herrle, remained untainted and unshaken.

Eileen’s life stood firmly upon two pillars – Family and Faith – both of which she embraced with remarkable excellence. As a devoted wife and mother, Eileen’s presence and attentiveness were constant and reassuring. She possessed an innate ability to perceive and address needs, whether they were physical, emotional, or spiritual, often foreseeing these needs before her children even articulated them.

Embracing her role as a child of God with profound earnestness, Eileen approached her faith with deep reverence. From her childhood, she exemplified her love for the Lord in her everyday life, openly and proudly. Serving as a Eucharistic Minister for the elderly and homebound, Eileen’s life embodied devotion. She epitomized the qualities of a faithful and virtuous servant of God, serving as an inspiration to those fortunate enough to cross her path.

The premature passing of her brother, Robert Murray, was a sorrow Eileen carried. However, her family finds solace in the belief that they are now reunited. Alongside her husband Jack, Eileen is survived by her six children: Kenneth, Jan, Carol, Ruth, Ann, and Paul, along with their respective spouses. Eileen’s legacy extends to her 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Eileen’s family will gather with relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., on Saturday, September 2nd, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Subsequently, the funeral cortege will proceed to the Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, where a Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11:00 am. Following the service, a moment of interment will take place in the serene grounds of In Memoriam Cemetery.

In the tapestry of life that Eileen Patrice Herrle woven, her threads of love, devotion, and unwavering faith will continue to be felt, woven into the lives she touched. May her memory remain a beacon of light for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
