Frank “Frog” Hull, a singer of songs, was born on September 29, 1932, in Boise, Idaho, to parents Melvin and Leona Hull. His stage name was “Frog.” After the death of his father, the family relocated to Deer Lodge, Montana, where he completed his high school education and received his diploma in 1951. Before he joined the military, he received his education at Western Montana College. He enlisted in the army and served as a paratrooper, first in Georgia and then in Germany.
When Frog was asked about his time spent serving in the military, he responded by saying, “I loved the service: it did more for me than I ever did for it.” Following his time in the military, he utilized the benefits of the GI Bill to continue his education at Western and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1958. In 1960, he graduated with a Master of Science degree. Frog frequently reflected on the impact that the GI Bill had on his life. He met and fell in love with the love of his life, Yvonne Wenger, while he was a student at Western.
They tied the knot in 1956 and went on to have six children together. Frog spent a lot of his time as a young adult participating in extracurricular activities and sports at school.
