Hatler Collins Death, Obituary – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hatler Collins, a beloved member of our community, who departed this life on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the age of 57. Hatler’s journey through life was marked by the love and warmth he shared with his family and friends, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Hatler was born on January 19, 1966, to his late parents, Maurice Ray and Arinda Bryant Collins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his dear sister, Arlene Brooks, leaving a void in the hearts of those who loved her.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beth Williamson Collins, who shared in the joys and challenges of life’s journey by his side. Hatler’s memory lives on through his siblings: Greg Collins, Edgory Collins, Karen (Joe) Hopkins, Betty Collins, and Hazel Collins Fitch. He was not only a cherished brother but also a beloved uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Two special nieces, Rain and Amelia, held a special place in Hatler’s heart, as he thought of them as his own children. His faithful sidekick, Lucy, was a constant source of companionship and comfort.

Funeral services to celebrate Hatler’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the Joppa Old Regular Baptist Church, with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. He will find his final resting place in the Newman Cemetery at Hi Hat.

Visitation will be a time for friends and family to pay their respects, starting after 6:00 PM on Monday at the Joppa Old Regular Baptist Church. Services will be held nightly at 7:00 PM, providing an opportunity for those who knew Hatler to gather, share their condolences, and honor his memory.
