Hugh McOmish Death, Obituary – With heavy hearts, we share the sad news that Hugh McOmish, aged 92, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 17th. Hugh’s presence and contributions were deeply cherished by many, as he held the distinction of being a founding member of Crieff Legion. His memory will forever be associated with warm conversations, friendly games of dominoes, and camaraderie that he shared with others, even during the period when the club operated as a dry establishment before the introduction of alcohol in the clubrooms.
Hugh’s dedication to Crieff Legion resonated in his frequent visits, where he engaged in lively discussions and formed connections with fellow members. His steadfast involvement and commitment added to the heart and soul of the club, creating an atmosphere of friendship and community.
A final farewell to Hugh will take place on Tuesday, September 5th, at 11:00 AM, with the funeral service held at St Fillans R.C Church. Following the service, a somber interment will take place at Crieff Cemetery at 11:45 AM. This day will serve as a tribute to a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
