Ian Kingsley Obituary, Death – on August 12, 2011, he passed away unexpectedly at his home in Winter Park, Florida. His devoted mother, Jacqueline Yvonne Head, is the only member of his family to outlive him. In the hereafter, Ian will be reunited with his cherished father, Brian Ernest Head, who passed away on February 7, 2011. In Atlanta, Georgia, on July 28, 1979, Ian was brought into the world. Because of Brian’s work as an aerospace engineer with Lockheed Aircraft, his parents uprooted their family and moved all of their belongings from England to the United States.
After the corporation changed its name to Lockheed Martin in 1995, the family decided to relocate to Florida. Ian inherited his father’s passion for all things mechanical and grew up sharing his interest in autos, aircraft, and other vehicles. After receiving his diploma from Winter Park High School, Ian began his career in the aerospace industry by working alongside his father and best friend on several consulting engagements. Ian inherited the selfless attitude toward helping others from both his mother Jackie and his father Brian. Both individually and collectively, members of the family volunteered their time at Rotary and Florida Hospital. Ian was a kind and friendly person who always had a smile on his face and was full of great energy to pass on to others.
Above all else in this world, he placed the utmost importance on his cherished relationships with his friends and family, particularly with his partner Katie Jones. Ian was cherished by everyone who met him, and his friends, family, and community will feel a profound loss at the news that he has passed away and gone on to spend eternity with his father and closest companion. On Thursday, August 18, 2011, from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening, the family will host a gathering for guests. On Friday, August 19, 2011, at 11 a.m., a memorial service honoring Ian’s life will be conducted at All Saints Episcopal Church, which is located at 338 E. Lyman Ave., Winter Park, Florida 32789.
