Jason Hooker Obituary, Death – On June 22, 2022, the world bid farewell to a beloved soul, Jonathan Clell Hooker, affectionately known as Johnny. His earthly journey came to an end, and he embarked on a new adventure in his heavenly home. Johnny had a fulfilling career at Bowater, a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication. His journey with the American Red Cross was a testament to his compassionate heart, as he dedicated his time to volunteer and help others. Johnny found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had an unwavering love for trout fishing, enjoyed relic hunting, and cherished the countless adventures he embarked on with his family and friends.
Johnny’s sense of humor was infectious, and his ability to make people laugh was one of his many talents. He had a story for every occasion and a warm smile for everyone he met. His heart was filled with love for the Lord Jesus, a devotion that radiated from his very being. In his passing, Johnny reunited with his loved ones who had gone before him, including his father, Raymond Alvin Hooker, his mother, Alice Ruth Southerland (Bill), and a host of dear friends and relatives.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, carried on by his son Jon Hooker, daughter Jacqueline Daffinson (Josh), and his cherished grandchildren, Annaliese and Julian Daffinson. Johnny is also survived by his brothers Sammy Hooker (Debbie), Steve Hooker (Diane), sister Donna Hooker Mowery, and a loving extended family. The family invites friends and well-wishers to join them in celebrating Johnny’s life on Tuesday, July 5, at Philippi Baptist Church. The family will receive guests from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by a memorial service at 12 pm. As we remember Johnny, we hold onto the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories that will forever warm our hearts. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
