Jenny Kemple Obituary, Death – Jenny Kemple has been known by her nickname since she was a little girl. She was the daughter of Dr. Preston L. Jones and Mrs. After completing high school at the tiny Juab institution, she enrolled in the first Dental Hygienist program at the University of Oregon in Portland, where she met and married Richard Frederick the following year (1951). After finishing dental school, the couple settled in Richard’s hometown of Medford, Oregon, where Richard quickly established himself as a dental authority. In 1984, he passed away at an unnaturally young age.
Jenny was a well-known and well-liked character in the Rogue Valley for 39 years. She participated actively in the community as a dental auxiliary officer, avid skier, and other outdoor sports enthusiast. She also spent 15 years as president of the LDS Relief Society after holding positions in the organization as president of the LDS Primary and Young Women. She also served as a pianist for a wide variety of choirs and soloists. She took great pleasure in her roles as landlord, taxi driver, hostess, and key resource for the missionaries after the loss of her first husband.
Her genuineness, wit, upbeat tales, and cinnamon buns were well-received both inside and outside of the church community. She married Angus Belliston, whose wife had passed away, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in December 1991, and the couple settled in Provo, Utah. Jenny, however, never lost touch with her close pals back in Oregon. Together, she and Angus held several roles in the community and LDS Church, such as Angus’ presidency of the Australia Brisbane Mission and her presidency of the Provo Temple.
They have eleven children together and are also grandparents to 56. Jenny passed away at home on April 9, 2011. Her family includes her husband, as well as their children, grandkids, and spouses: Camille Dowler of Albuquerque, Anne (Wes) Curtis of Cedar City, Janine (Eric) Ruff of Pleasant Grove, James (Robin) Belliston of Hyde Park, Carl (Michelle) Belliston of Orem, Nathan (Aimee) Belliston of Vernal, and Kathryn (Michel) Bened of Ambilly, France.
