Her life was a testament to the values of love, family, and faith, and her memory continues to be cherished by all who knew her. Helen’s journey began on June 4, 1926, in the town of Jermyn, Pennsylvania. She was born to Wasil and Julia Bowan, who instilled in her the values that would define her life. Helen’s early years were spent in Jermyn and Binghamton, New York, where she learned the importance of hard work, dedication, and the enduring bonds of family. These early lessons would shape her into the remarkable woman she became.
Throughout her life, Helen had the opportunity to call several places home, including North Arlington, West Caldwell, and Monroe Township, before finally settling in Hillsborough. Each place left a mark on her heart, and she, in turn, left an indelible mark on the lives of those she encountered. Professionally, Helen dedicated herself to various firms, where she served in their accounting departments. On Thursday, April 26th, 2018, a visitation was held at Gleason Funeral Home, Somerset, New Jersey, where friends and family gathered to pay their respects and share their memories of Helen. The following day, on April 27th, 2018, a funeral service took place at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor George Montinari of Middlebush Reformed Church. Helen’s final resting place is Brainerd Cemetery in Cranbury, New Jersey.
