As the Managing Director of CB Constructions, John’s impact extended far beyond his role. For an impressive 25 years, from 1991 to 2015, he served on the CCF QLD Board. His commitment to progress was evident in his tenure as CCF QLD Branch President from 1996 to 1998, and he also contributed as a national board member during this time.
John’s devotion to the betterment of the civil construction industry in Queensland was unwavering. He dedicated countless hours of his personal time to advocate for locally owned businesses and employee training, reflecting his commitment to the growth and sustainability of the industry.
CB Constructions, the third-generation family business that John co-managed with his brothers Michael, Paul, and Jamie, was established in 1946. Through their leadership, the business thrived and was recognized as a pillar of excellence within the industry. In 2020, the brothers decided to conclude their journey, completing their last civil project and transitioning into a well-deserved retirement.
