Johnny Winfield Death, Obituary – Johnny Winfield Young, aged 50, of Hopkinsville, left us on Monday, August 28, 2023, due to natural causes. While we grieve the loss of a cherished soul, we also celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and profound connections.
The family has chosen cremation, and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date to honor Johnny’s memory. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements, ensuring that Johnny’s farewell is as special as he was to all who knew him.
Johnny was born on October 8, 1972, in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of Marsha Dale Burt Browning and the late Miles “Tokey” Austin Young. He dedicated his working life to the field of construction, contributing his skills to Michael Young Construction. His faith was an integral part of his life, and he found solace and community at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
In addition to his devoted mother, Marsha Burt Browning of Hopkinsville, Johnny leaves behind a legacy of love through his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Fay Hodge Young of Hopkinsville, who shared countless cherished moments by his side. Johnny’s son, Cody Young (Jessica) of Hopkinsville, and step-son, Dax Williams of Hopkinsville, carry forward his values and spirit. His step-daughters, Teresa Hodge, Shelby Lewis, and Janea Davis, all of Hopkinsville, will forever remember the love and guidance he provided.
Johnny’s brother, Michael Young (Tina) of Hopkinsville, stood by his side through thick and thin, a testament to the unbreakable bonds of family. He leaves behind a legacy in his grandsons, Easton Causey, Hudson Young, and Callum Young, as well as his step-grandchildren, Jaxson Williams, Kyson Williams, and Justyce McGee, who will carry his memory with them as they grow.
Johnny Winfield Young touched our lives with his warm smile, his unwavering love, and his enduring presence. As we remember and celebrate his life, let us also cherish the love and joy he brought into our hearts. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on in the lives he touched.
