Mandy Harnden Obituary, Death – It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mandy Harnden on August 31, 2023, at the age of 36. Mandy, born Amanda Harnden, was a cherished member of the Allegan, MI community, and her untimely departure has left a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mandy’s life was one filled with love, devotion, and boundless compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever echo in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her kindness.
Mandy is survived by her loving husband, Kyle Harnden, with whom she shared a deep and unwavering bond. Her four children, Lincoln, Jackson, Katelyn, and Wallace Harnden, were the absolute light of her life. Her dedication to her family was evident in the love and care she poured into her role as a mother and wife.
She is also survived by her parents, Robert and Peggy Hoekwater, who instilled in her the values of love, kindness, and generosity that she carried throughout her life. Her brothers, Jeremy (Laurie) Hoekwater and Mike (Danielle) Hoekwater, were not just siblings but also dear friends who shared a special connection with her.
Mandy’s grandparents, Rodney and Lucille Kruithoff, held a special place in her heart, as did her numerous nephews and nieces who adored her. She is also survived by her in-laws, Gary and Clara Meade, and Connie and Scott Dangremond, along with brothers and sisters-in-law, Kris (Billy) Meade, Dylan Meade, Kara Dangremond, and Alli Dangremond, all of whom she embraced as family.
A gathering to celebrate Mandy’s life will take place on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, located at 528 Trowbridge Street, Allegan, MI, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Tadd Kruithoff, will follow. Mandy’s final resting place will be at the Poplar Hill Cemetery, fulfilling her wish to watch cows playing in the adjacent pasture for all eternity. Her love for the simple joys of life was a testament to her warm and gentle spirit.
Mandy’s work at Dawson Elementary and Little Tigers Daycare showcased her loving and caring nature. She had a unique ability to brighten the lives of children, and her impact will be remembered by generations to come.
