Even though I have probably already come up with a million different ways to describe you, there is no way that words can do you justice. I couldn’t have asked for a better older brother than you. I don’t remember if I ever really said it to you or not, but you were my hero. Someone who I admired and wanted to model my life after in some way.
A devoted son, brother, and father who loves his family. You’ve been there for me in a multitude of different ways, and those experiences have contributed to the person I am now. I will never be able to adequately express my gratitude to you for everything that you have done for me. It is with a great deal of difficulty that I force myself to share this since it does not, and never will, feel genuine to me.
I just keep holding out hope that this whole situation is a nightmare from which I will eventually wake up and everything will go back to how it was before. Nothing will ever return to its previous state of normalcy. It won’t be business as usual at all. Both of your parents are missing you. Your loved ones are longing to see you. I think about you all the time. I adore you in the deepest way. I am certain that you will watch over us. Have a peaceful nap, big brother. You have my love.
