Patrick “pat” Schreur Obituary, Death – It is with fond memories and heartfelt sorrow that we remember the life of Patrick Allan Kirschman, affectionately known as Pat. He was born on November 3, 1954, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to his loving parents, Robert and Rita Kirschman. Pat’s journey through life was marked by his dedication to family, education, and public service. He departed from this world on March 19, 2020, leaving behind a legacy of service and a family who cherished him dearly.
Pat’s educational journey led him to graduate from SDSU in 1978, setting the foundation for a life marked by both personal and professional achievements. He dedicated over 26 years of his career to Metz Baking, where his hard work and commitment were evident to all who knew him. In addition to his successful career, Pat represented District 15 in the South Dakota House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017. His dedication to public service and his community was a testament to his character and values.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rita Kirschman, but he leaves behind a family who loved him deeply. He is survived by his siblings: Michael (Dawn) Kirschman, Jean Kirschman, Sharil (Lyle) Kirschman-Rollag, Sheila (Rodger) Ellingson, and Lynn (Joel) Schreurs, along with their respective children.
