Ron Pickell Death, Obituary – We are saddened to inform you of the demise of our beloved father, Ron Pickell, and do so with a heavy heart. The world has lost a great man, but now our devoted father has received his angel wings and is in heaven with our mother Eleanor, where they are both keeping a watchful eye on all of their children. ♥ Dad, it’s hard to find the words to express what an amazing person and wonderful father you are. You have a special place in my heart.

You had a kind and generous heart, and you loved your family without condition. You made sure that we, as your daughters, were aware of how much affection we received from you. Throughout each and every phase of our life, you were there to look out for us, to direct and encourage us, and to provide care. You bestowed upon us the greatest gift that anyone could ever hope to receive: the faith that you had in us. You never failed to emphasize to us how proud both you and Mom were of us and everything that we had achieved.

We are aware that neither one of us would be where we are right now if it weren’t for your unwavering love and support at every turn of the path we’ve traveled. We have so many lovely and loving memories of our time spent together, and for this, we are quite grateful. Our grandfather Ron had a huge heart, and he would often help strangers or individuals he didn’t even know very well. He never wanted anyone to go without food or suffer in any way.

He made it his purpose in life to find methods that he could provide covert assistance and support to those in our community who were struggling to make ends meet. One more thing that he was really passionate about was his affection for all kinds of animals. This includes not just his domesticated animal family, which he and his mother took in and cared for, but also the many different species of wild animals with which he had frequent and sometimes even daily interactions.

We are inconsolable that we had to say goodbye to you so soon after saying goodbye to mom, but it brings us great solace to know that you are now at peace with mom in paradise, just as you always dreamed you would be. As our family deals with the aftermath of Ron’s loss, we are grateful for the love and support that we have received from everyone. In the next weeks, there will be a gathering to honor Ron’s life and celebrate his legacy. More information will be provided at a later time.
